Film: The Stunt Man

I’d not watched The Stunt Man for a few years – I was overdue to re-experience its brilliance - and rousing score. Key scenes were filmed here in my stomping grounds of the Old Fair Oaks Bridge

The film has a few personal triggers for me. In the nineteen-nineties I was an internet newbie, corresponding with old friends, new friends and writing groups - a time when being online was somewhat of a novelty. I  loved to communicate about film (and still do) and made some fantastic friends along the way.

“Why did Richard Rush’s The Stunt Man get screwed out of film awards – while Star Wars got accolades?” I ranted. Well, apples and oranges I guess in retrospect – but it was fun to write about.

See The Stunt Man, highly recommended!
